History and Fates.

The online project is dedicated to one of the periods in the history of the Soviet Union, which was characterized as political repression. It will be of interest to those who are interested in the totalitarian regime in particular, but also in the history of the Soviet Union in general.

Here you will learn the biographies of ordinary and outstanding people of Karlag, their life paths and achievements.

The project was created in order to popularise the idea of learning the lessons of Karlag to bring up tolerant consciousness among young people in the modern world to attract school and college students to study the history of KarLag.

Event "Night at the Museum"

Every year on May 18, the International event “Night at the Museum” is held at the Museum of Memory of Victims of Political Repression in Dolinka.

On the square of the museum, visitors are greeted by a brass band, an exhibition of retro cars and household items from the times of Karlag. For those who like to take pictures there are many photo locations. In each exhibition hall, moments from the lives of Karlag’s prisoners are played out, and the most vivid, unforgettable episodes from the memories of the repressed are dramatized. Historical information is conveyed to the viewer using modern technologies.
